Ambassador Farid Talibov received Shigeharu Aoyama, State Minister for the Environment of Japan at the Embassy

On April 3, 2026, Ambassador Farid Talibov received Shigeharu Aoyama, State Minister for the Environment of Japan, at the Embassy. Within the framework of the meeting, a wide exchange of views was held between the parties on issues of mutual interest, including sustainable urbanization, combating climate change, ecological technologies and prospects for cooperation in the fields of urban infrastructure. The State Minister also expressed his satisfaction with cooperation with Azerbaijan and emphasized the importance of developing cooperation between the two countries, especially on environmental, sustainable urban development and climate issues. He expressed his openness to participating in such initiatives and expanding cooperation in the future. During the meeting, Sh. Aoyama expressed his gratitude on behalf of the ministry and personally for the invitation to participate in the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), which will be held in Azerbaijan on May 17-22, 2026.
